I've put in the vote "for private collection" - this what I think, but with important correction (this choice is missing in the vote pool) - not for mine collection. I think that the coin done well, but I much much more like the silver one. Have seen both in the PO, and IMO, both are nice, but the Silver one - that will be in my collection.

Can't vote because both A and D apply.

Well, A is for people that don't care at all about the investment issue, about the price of the coin in the future. D is for people that made the maths even if you like the coin, so I think D is for you.

Yunbo is quite correct..............we used to call them one cent coins! This Allegory coin sure is pretty though. if you like miniature art this is it. I think they should make it in sandblasted copper proof, that would be a very neat looking item.

Hi arianzo! Thanks for the poll. I can understand someone buying the coin because they like it. However I don't think this coin will have any upside as an investment. It's a brass coin with a large mintage. Anyone who wants it to complete the Allegory set ( a maximum of 2,000 in theory) will have no trouble finding one. Unless the price of brass skyrockets a hundred fold the coin will remain a curiosity at best. The likelihood of this happening is about as much as the RCM providing the tracking numbers with their shipping confirmation emails. P.S. For those who can't figure it out, I voted for D.

yunbo Posted Today 1 Hr 35 Min ago It's NOT the first bronze coin ever produced by the Royal Canadian Mint ! ----------------- So, the RCM is lying because it's in the official coin description.

Direct quote from mint.ca "First bronze coin ever produced by the Royal Canadian Mint!" So, if you doubt that... provide an example of another.

99% of modern mint offerings should only be bought if you like the coin itself. Considering anything of theirs purchased as an investment is dubious at best.
