Could anyone help identify these, all I can determine is that they're Chinese. I've been trying to translate the date on the green one, but have only been able to work out that its the '12th month'. Other than that I'm clueless.
I believe that both of these bonds come from Guangdong Province. The first appears to have been issued in June 1931 and has a value of $1.00 (Chinese Dollar, that is) and features a picture of Sun Yat Sen. The second is a Guangdong Province Fortress Defense Fund Bond issued in May 1932 also with a value of $1.- This link gives a little bit of the history behind the bonds:- http://www.boc.cn/en/aboutboc/ab7/2...1601870.html
The first bond may have been used as currency at this time period.
