I found some on ebay but very expensive ($90 - $130) or sellers who don't ship to France. Do you know seller or website with reasonable price ?
Why american coins are so expensive ?

American coins are, in general, more expensive than coins from just about anywhere else. My guess as to the reason for this is that America seems to have a higher proportion of it's population who are coin collectors. That, combined with a large population to start with, creates a lot of demand, which drives the prices up. More and more collectors in the US are turning to world coins, simply because they're cheaper.

Another factor which has increased demand for this particular coin is it's motif and relatively innovative design. America hasn't issued too many coins commemorating the achievements of non-Americans.

Very well put Sap

spica the book value of this coin in UNC is $95 & Proof is $82

I have found that with most (except gold) USA Commemorative coins you can find them for about 50-60% of their book value if not less sometimes. Always ask the seller if they are willing to ship to France if you offer to pay the addition shipping charges. Good luck!

But it's a very beautiful coin. I almost had one bought, with the Kronen companion, but was outbid the last second. I love the way it looks! I still want one, and a Jackie Robinson, and a Crispus Attackus.
