Yeup, got this one cheap. it stayed this immaculate because it was used as jewellery...and so has a whopping great hole in it. Oh well.

apparently, it still has lustre, but I'm a while away from having it in hand. This is a nice design recently removed from the 1p coin. The piercer has dodged the design, luckily.

Nice conder (I think the 'lustre' might be gold plating).

The reverse of this token always make me think the modern 1p ripped off the design.

Well, the only original portcullis was the badge of a lady by the name of Margaret Beaufort. Everyone else was essentially adopting hers, including her son, Henry VII.
