roadrunner New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 06/21/2013 3:49 pm Has anyone reported that the orientation of the edge inscription on the Mexico 25 peso Olympic coin can vary? The inscription can be right side up when the eagle is face up or it can be right side up when the dancer is face up. I don't know whether this is enough to assign them different types but it is certainly more evident than the length of the snake's tongue (Type 3)! Report this Post to the Staff

We talk about Type A or Type B depending on the edge inscription being right up on the obverse or the reverse. Nevertheless they remain the same type in Krause and the same catalog number is assigned to them. Report this Post to the Staff
chrisild Pillar of the Community Germany 1238 Posts	Posted 06/23/2013 08:40 am The orientation of the edge inscription does vary - pretty normal for people in countries that have had lettered edges for decades or more. ;) Statistically you end up with one half of the minted volume oriented "this way", and the other half is "that way".
