Can someone tell me what is going on with this coin?
This is my first coin scan attempt, so it's not great. But, I think you can see enough to tell me about the "error"

You can see on the left side of the coin some missing lettering, also on the left side, the coin is only about 3/4 the thickness of a normal quarter.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

There is nothing at all wrong with your quarter. it is post mint damage. looks like someone used it for a shim or something.
but it is not an error so you can spend it.

your welcome.
you will learn to know what your looking at sooner or later or you will end up with a box or in some case's a room full of junk. but until then just keep posting and asking questions I don't think anyone here has a problem giving answers.
