Cheapest Way Of Shipping Coins Worldwide?

Pheroow Valued Member United Arab Emirates 283 Posts	Posted 06/25/2013 12:01 pm Hello fellow collectors, I hope someone can help me with this. I had a few people buy from me coins on ebay. I am from the United Arab Emirates. When I go to my country's post office, my only option is to send the coins with registered mail, which is costly (around 25$ for a single coin to the U.S.) They have the shipping option with no registered mail, but the post keeps telling me not to ship without registered mail because it is a very high chance that it might get lost on the way. And I was wondering if there is another way? Because I am sure people will not buy coins from me if they have to pay 25$ for shipping. Does DHL or FedEx provide cheap shipping services? But I want my coins to reach the buyer within a MAXIMUM of 2 weeks, no more, but less if possible. I'm not even sure there is an expensive secure way to ship. If the Registered mail in the UAE is like the Registered mail here once it leave the country any insurance on the coin is gone and if it does get lost you are out of luck. FedEx does not insure coins, not even collectible coins. DHL I am not sure about. One real question is how secure is the postal service in the UAE? And how secure is the mail system in the country you are shipping to? There are some countries you really don't what to ship to (even insured or Registered) because the chance of valuables shipped through the mail arriving is small. There are other countries where if your package gets to the country it has a VERY good chance of being delivered safely. Report this Post to the Staff
