Found this on CoinWorld.com The Profiles set will contain an Uncirculated 2013-W 5-Star Generals silver dollar depicting conjoined portraits of Gens. George C. Marshall and Dwight D. Eisenhower; an Uncirculated copper-nickel clad 2013-D half dollar depicting conjoined portraits of Gens. Henry "Hap" Arnold and Omar N. Bradley; and in place of the gold half eagle depicting Gen. Douglas MacArthur, a 1.5-inch bronze duplicate of the congressional gold medal presented in 1962 "in recognition of the gallant service rendered by General of the Army Douglas MacArthur to his country. ..." The easel-type packaging of the 2013 5-Star Generals Profiles Collection set will include informative profile cards for each general with photos, historic military information, plus some fun facts readers may not know, according to Mint officials.

The mint has updated the upcoming products page with the details of the Generals set... interesting presentation set. I am a little disappointed they don't have very pictures of the bronze coin displayed. Well the whole package isn't displayed really well actually. I like the flipcard approach to the "profiles" of the different generals though.

Not quite what I was expecting, but still interesting.

The MacArthur coin looks a lot like the Philippines coins from the mid 40's. I suppose they should since they too were minted in the US.

Ok, I ended up buying this set. I have to say - I really am glad I did - this is a pretty well done set and I'd like to see more done like it.

basebal21; I agree with you about the Infantry dollar. I bought the limited edition with the dog-tags and it is a real PITA to store. I traded it for a 2012 UNC Star Spangled Banner dollar.
The 5-Star General flip card looks like it will be easier to store than the Infantry dollar. Not to mention that the overall design is very attractive and I'm glad I ordered one.

Welder completely agree. I liked the idea they had for the infantry dollar but just being a card with the tags attached left something to be desired. The flip book looks much better and has to be easier to store. I did really like the Star Spangle Banner set they did, I wish they used the same format for the Infantry one.

@welder/basebal21: Received my set yesterday. The "flip chart" is housed in a small protective box - safe storage shouldn't be an issue.
Also, something for you to consider, to keep my Infantry set in good condition, I placed it in a plastic food storage bag. This not only protects it from moisture, but it also keeps the tag from getting caught on something else and tearing the packaging.

I finally ordered one last week. Had I waited one more week I would have had free shipping. Oh well. Regardless, it is a nice set and am glad I got it.

@jbuck: It is a nice set and I'm sure you'll be happy with it. It's always nice to save a few bucks, but $5.00 either way on this set makes very little difference. Enjoy it!

Does anyone think the bronze MacArthur medal will be worth anything?
The other two coins currently have low mintages and one of those is 90% silver. So is the bronze MacArthur medal only eye-candy?

I like the medal much more after seeing it in person than I did in the photos.
