I saw this posted on the upcoming products page.
08/05/13 5-Star Generals Profiles Collection TBD
This appears to be the 5G8 Generals release that waas announced earlier in the year. No details - but it appears to be another multi-coin release. I am guessing based on the title it will be something with historic references to the Generals lives and deeds.

My guess is that this is the set containing uncirculated examples of the silver dollar and clad half-dollar along with a bronze MacArthur medal.
I remain curious as to whether the MacArthuir piece will be a new design or a re-strike of the Congressional Medal from 1962.

I'd take those and throw in an Eisenhower dollar they found in the basement for a kicker... I am interested to see what they put together for this - but I would think they'll use a bronze of the current gold piece.

I am definitely interested, especially after missing out on 5G7.

Well ... pricing has been announced:
The United States Mint is announcing a price of $74.95 for the 2013 5-Star Generals Profile Collection.
That leaves me to believe they aren't doing anything overly productive in the set.

So probably just a bronze coin addition and some new packaging at best

There just isn't a lot of wiggle room in that price to include a whole lot - unless the mint is suddenly getting generous. Since I haven't seen a bronze coin listed anywhere - I am kind of leaning to a set of proof or uncirculated coins and perhaps some historical data.

My interest will significantly decrease if the set does not have the third piece (the bronze medal).

The following was posted on mintnewsblog.com back in March:
"The US Mint will also offer a special product for this program which it seems will contain the uncirculated version of the silver dollar and half dollar, along with a MacArthur Bronze Medal."
Things could have changed since then, but I still think it's a real possibility that such a set will be released.

Sales of the UNC Generals Dollar and Half are so low that they needed to come up with a way to sell those off. Figures, I just bought a handfull of the UNC Halves because of the very low sales numbers.

Hopefully the medal doesn't share a design with the other two coins. I am happy to see something is being added though instead of just repacking the dollar and half

I would love for the medal to be a bronze version of the gold coin. I am not sure what prevents them from using it, as they do it with the first spouse issues.

If they wanted to use the obverse Id be fine with that. I'm sick of the Levenworth lamp already though with how they drove it into the ground so I would like to see that changed. The gold obverse would be very fitting though.

Any ideas as to when full details of the set will be disclosed?
I might be tempted if the set has the dollar coin, half dollar coin, and a bronze piece based on the gold coin.

@kena: The set will go on sale on 5 August; the US Mint usually activates the sales page for upcoming releases two or three weeks ahead of time. You can't use such pages to place an order, but you can see the item and read the details about it. So, details should be available very soon on http://www.usmint.gov.
