Hi all,
A camera listed on ebay under... Coin Camera Quickly Photograph Collections Always in Focus New Invention USB, by cbenbow, has really raised my curiosity. Can't find anyone who has one, or is familiar with it.
If it produces acceptible results, it could a major time-saving device for creating inventory list w/photos.
Any info, or first-hand knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry! I can't provide image.
Thanks, Dan

I can't say for sure But I have seen the same style For photoing stamps, pins, mineral specimens etc. small items with minimal height as the focal range for the item was limited as to keep something from top to bottom all in focus.
The other problem was no controllable lighting source, not to mention an over the top price.
I will stick with the Celestron, handheld digital microscope and wait on that, let somebody else experiment with it

Looks to me like the only gimmick is it's portable and battery-powered, with a wide-angle lens to shoot full face coin images. As such, it's not going to be much better than the camera in your phone, which you're already carrying. And if it can shoot both full-face images and closeups, there will be so many optical compromises that it'll be essentially useless at both.

Solution to a problem I don't have.

From China and at that price, I wouldn't chance it. My camera works well enough for me.

What would make it a 'new' invention? Just looks like an microscope to me.
