Here is one of the ungraded morgans from my dad's collection. Thoughts?

its tough because of the lighting (i have the same problem) catching all the luster. it looks like full luster so I'm going MS65. really nice coin. the 1900 O is known for just average strikes. I would say this is AVG+
Rest in Peace

I totally agree with panzaldi, If this has luster, it is one sweet 1900-O!

MS64 if luster is there! Nice looking coin. Is that a die crack on the obverse behind Liberty's head to the rim?

with luster easily a 64.. Possibly even a 65. Very nice! I love the color, does it have that same two tone look in hand? I would love to see this one in person, I bet she looks great. Nice Morgan indeed!

Thanks, All!

westcoin--I too much of a newbie to speak on die cracks, but to me it looks like a ding.

NathanASE--Unfortunately is has not such color in hand. I had to compress the jpg pretty heavily to get it under the 100k limit and I'm guessing the rainbow artifacts got introduced there. It's shiny and all, just not colorful.

I'll have to study-up on what is meant by luster. My dad bought this as an MS-64 (ungraded), so good to know he was dealing with reputable dealers.

Learned a lot from you folks today. Thank you!

Slider. Seems there might be just a little bit of rub on the high points and pictures don't show luster. I am going to say AU-58 to be safe

AU55 only, this coin has issues. Possibly dipped one to many times to appear BU, who knows. It is a circulated coin.

I think it could grade MS-64.

It looks dipped to me or it was stored in a pvc holder at one time. I would have to go with BU Details. I have bought and sold plenty of Morgans like this on the bay.
