We've joked that a gas station could get lots of publicity selling gas for 25 cents per gallon as long as you pay with silver quarters. Neat to see someone tried it. Surprised it hasn't gotten more publicity.

I'll have to call them one of these days to make sure they are still running that offer and treat my parents to a fish fry after a bike ride out there one Friday night.

It would be interesting to see how much silver this restaurant eventually pulls in. Then again, if you are paying in silver, I'm sure your going to get your change back in clad.

Interesting idea but probably will not go mainstream.... as noted, most of the people who took the deal are older clients who have saved the silver coins back in the old day......
