First got the off center strike lead token and then later came across the aluminum token with same symbols. I have no idea what these symbols represent or origin. The aluminum one looks like a reproduction and the lead one I'm not sure if its an reproduction or original. I believe both are British and the symbols could possibly be Old English style. There are noticeable differences between the two. All comment welcome & appreciated..

As an aside one of mates used to strike coins in the Jorvik centre during the summer break.

rooneydog, thank you for the info.. The pewter one I thought was a reproduction is a toy coin as per your link, but I was unsure of the lead one. Looks like a trial strike for the toy coins. Thanks again...

See this old thread for another example, with a scan of the certificate that came with the Jorvik coin my father bought for me in the 1980s.

To clarify: these were not "toy coins" in terms of play money; they were sold as souvenirs, made on-site as a demonstration of Viking-age coinage techniques.
