I recently bought a Susan B. Anthony Whitman Classic album and was surprised to see that there were no printed slots for the 1999 issues. The spine says "1979-1981" but it for some reason never occurred to me that it might not have the 1999 issues when I was buying. There are a few blank slots which I'll use for the 1999's but that seems silly to me to exclude them.

Does anyone have a thought why they may have excluded the 1999's? Do other albums have those slots? I tried to look up the Dansco version but couldn't find anything definitive.

Red Book says in 1999 there were P, P-proof, and D mintages. Anything else?

It may be an old album is my first guess (old as in when it was made, not that it is used). Maybe Whitman had plenty of these printed up to cover demand for the last fifteen years.

For the SBA, I bought a single blank (undated) SBA page from Dansco. It holds fifteen coins. I only have the normal issues, no varieties, which means fourteen coins. The fifteenth slot holds the SBA sized mint token from the 1982 proof set. This page is in place of the gold page of my 7070.

You must have purchased a pre-1999 album. I have a Littleton SBA album which includes all Business Strikes, Proofs, and the three major varieties.

Yeah, the thought had crossed my mind. Searching around I don't see any reference to a Whitman Classic that has the 1999's so another option is that they just never bothered to change things up, probably figuring that people would use the 5 blanks on the 2nd page. I did buy a lettering kit from Whitman, so I'll just do that on the blanks for the 3 1999's. I don't plan to do any of the varieties in the Whitman. I may do that in a SBA Dansco if ever I buy one.

$5 got me an Ike & SBA folder - well, I really liked the idea of having multiple types in the same folder. It even has a generous 6 slots for Eisenhower varieties (but none for SBA varieties...)!

My Dansco has spaces for the 1999 SBAs.
