please take a look at this 1854 Half Dime and give your opinion on grade and overall appeal of the coin. there is a good jump in price between EF and AU so I need to get some expert opinions before pulling the trigger

this is no where near an AU I would say based on Red Book the grade of this coin is at best a very fine !! so I would value this coin at about 35 dollars on a good day but maybe less !

I would value it as a raw XF40. Images appear to be scans and there's not enough to go on except XF raw or about $50.

it's a bit weak at the pole but I believe that is strike rather than wear
there are a few ticks on the obverse that might hold it down a touch but overall its a nice example of a great type coin
