Hi, I'm new here, just looking for some info.

I found two gold coloured coins (not sure if they're real gold, seem really shiney though) in my drawer, both are King George VI one's a 1948 half crown and the other is a 1940 half penny, both have decorated reverses.

Ta :)

Neither are gold. The half crown is cupro-nickel, the halfpenny bronze, and both have been painted or enamelled.

That's been done to make them look pretty, and as such their value is more than their negligible numismatic value.
