Recently got about 200 blazing red coins from 1953 through 71, MS60-65. In this lot were 4 1955d, a 1957d and 2 1958 with die cracks across the forehead. The 57d is just like the 55d, the 58's are bit different. I call them my Booth pennies. Haven't seen much info on this variety. Would the mint use the same die from one year to another if it had a crack? Was there an issue with late 50's dies?

Die cracks are not varieties. It is something caused by over use of the die. They really abused the dies in the mid to late 1950's.
