Yes, they're both die clashes, as seen on the KGVI series of pennies. The clash line running from the large bud up to the stem is a clash of the king's ear, while the line running off the lower right side of the branch is a clash of the king's jaw -- the same type of clash as in the "hanging digit" series from 1953 - 1964. Often-time with this particular set of clashes you will find a "half moon" hanging off the right leaf just above the large bud, or a line running from the 3rd digit up to the bottom of the left leaf, or a clash line running from the top of the left leaf up to the large "1", and then sometimes running through it and arcing under "CENT".
They're fairly common clashes, found in all years from 1938 - 1952 (possibly 1937 as well though I haven't found one of those yet), but it's nice to try and get the whole set. Good eye!
