Hi,

My grandpa has given me a container full of different coins, There are quite a few that I cant identify, lots of Asian coins I think might be Chinese, I also have a coin that might be this http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces20920.html, It isn't the best quality but I'm guessing that because of the age it might still be good

Anyway I was wondering if there is anywhere in Melbourne that I could go and get them identified?

Thanks, Ben

Youre lucky there are plenty of dealers in Melbourne. I did a yellow pages search: http://www.yellowpages.com.au/find/...urne-cbd-vic

I have dealings (long distance only) with number 12. Peter has always dealt very honourably to me. Plenty of well known names on that list but I do not have personal experience of them. The only other one I could recommend from personal dealings is now in New Zealand so, no go there,

If you've got the time (and the skills with a camera or scanner) you can post them here on the forum for ID. We could at least help you weed out the easy stuff, leaving just the ones that really need an in-the-hand inspection to identify and authenticate.

Thanks for the replies, whenever I have searched for coin dealers I would never get results.

When I have access to better internet I will try and upload some pictures or scans
