1.64 grams. Can anyone tell me what it is, and whether it is fake? Many thanks.

Yeup, a common fake I'm afraid. both the fabric and the design make it incompatible with a real coin.

If you wish to get a real one, its not too pricey and we can help you find a good one.

I don't mind paying junk box prices for a fake Roman. Thank you for your help.

The reverse of this piece certainly looks far more suspicious than the obverse.
The edge also looks 'iffy', despite the fact that this piece has not been pictured edge on.

I certainly don't mind paying a fair price for a high quality fake,
PROVIDED
it is sold as a fake.

I have about 100 fake ancient coins in my 'black' collection. They are part of my education in how to identify a fake coin ancient coin.

Yes, it's a mass-produced "replica", although it doesn't actually copy a genuine coin. The two sides are from two different coins issued by two different emperors (Nero and Constantine), issued a couple of centuries apart. And yes, we've seen them several times on the forum before. Here and here are a couple of older threads with them. According to the notes on this example in the FORVM fake database, they may have been given away in boxes of cereal.
