this guy is selling a coin and claiming it is a VAM-70 and it isn't http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...photohosting I sent him this email to tell him of his mistake:
quote:
I just wanted to let you know that the coin you are advertising as a VAM-70 is definately not a VAM-70. The VAM 70 is a B1 Reverse which has a long arrow shaft which your coin lacks and there is a chip above the L in LIBERTY which yours lacks on the Obverse. This is the attributes of a VAM-70 and yours has none of them http://vamworld.wikispaces.com/1878-P+VAM-70

we will see if he happens to change the title but I don't see him doing it because it would be one of the finest VAM-70's graded if it were a real VAM-70 (even though I can't say I even agree with the grade NGC has given it myself)

He even posted your email for all to see, and admitted his mistake. Very impressive.

I agree, my hats off to him, I figured he would do like most and just act as if the email never arrived and let the auction run. I am really impressed in the way he handled it

Absolutely incredible to say the least. You worded your comments carefully so as not to seem too pushy, and it seems like an honest seller was on the other end for once. Kudos to him. He will potentially make quite a few favorite sellers lists with actions like this.
