i know what a radar note is eg. aaa123404321
but I dont know why they are so collectable is it just because they are a rare sequence or does it mean anything?

Just a peculiarity, lots of people like numerology and the coincidence of a radar note

aaa123404321 has too many digits to be a canadian serial number. aaa1230321 would be a canadian radar.

Just because they're scarce and kind of cool. Same with repeaters. Some of the other threads around here go into more detail on how scarce they are and what premium they're worth etc.

Humans are instinctive pattern-seekers. We look for patterns in apparent randomness, in an effort to extract meaning from them. When we actually find such a pattern - as when a collection of random numbers forms a pattern that repeats back on itself - we consider it special. A radar number like 123404321 isn't intrinsically more rare, special or magical than any other 9-digit number (like 129445912 or 123404221). But the pattern a radar number forms makes them more attractive - and therefore more valuable.
