It's going to be difficult to help you without seeing the coin first. It must be assumed, though, that the coin is a counterfeit until proven otherwise - we see fakes that often of these. So if you will, please post the best images you can of your coin. Also, do a Google Images search for the coin, to give you an idea of what it should look like. You should be able to find nice high-resolution images of them easily. Look for weakness in the struck features, pitting in the fields which might be a sign of a cast coin, or anything on the edge besides lettering. Some fakes are so poor that they have reeded edges rather than lettered edges.
