A gift from a fellow forum member - really nice coins these.

I used to think these were too modern to be called conders but the size difference is negligible and these clearly circulated!

Big lumps of copper these things. The holed 1d is very cool - even with the wear, but the 1/2d is my favourite. a lovely design with good honest wear which doesn't detract from it is a rarity. The hole is pretty recent for the 1d, certainly not contemporary.

They are both 1812, but if you wish to see an example of the back of the 1d, then you can have a look at my most recent post where I've acquired another on the side of a lot of tokens.
