A while back I bought a set of uncleaned greek coins off ebay and a couple of them have made me very curious.

First up is this one:
Ionian-Greek-Coin,-Weird-Looking-To-Me

It appears to be Ionian, from Miletos, and may be a match with BMC 127: http://www.wildwinds.com/coins/gree...letos/t.html

The type is really, really odd looking to me though. I don't know if it's an imitative, fake, or just has an odd wear pattern that made it look like this. Specifically the lion on the back's back legs look very off to me.

There are a couple others from that set that cleaned up pretty good as well. I'll attach them along with my attempt at identifying them. I'm pretty new at this so if I made any mistakes I definitely won't take it personally if you let me know

i think you're right on with the first one.

i don't know your second one but I know there are a couple of "goats"...some with dionysos, you'll want one wiser in the way of greeks than me for that one.

I'm hoping at the very least that it is an ancient imitative, because if it were an actual fake that'd throw the whole lot that I got from the guy into question. I wouldn't even be disappointed if it were an imitative, I just don't know what to look for to identify those.

So I got those right, excellent! Not sure if you saw but in the pictures I have the slips I had put with them for identification. Still worried about the first one though, less about attribution and more about authenticity.

I'd actually forgotten about this one but I searched high and low and couldn't find anything with the right inscription. The front is rough but the back has some interesting imagery, I just can't tell exactly what it is or where it is from.
