john1942sept Valued Member United States 286 Posts	Posted 07/09/2013 11:27 am Below is an image of a coin from a roll that came from the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas in the late 30's and then went into storage. There are a few spots and I wondered 1) What it would grade as? 2) Should anything be done to it? Interesting to see experts appraisals! Report this Post to the Staff

RK55 Pillar of the Community United States 2189 Posts	Posted 07/09/2013 1:30 pm I took your photos, rotated and enlarged them. Nice looking 1936-D! In my opinion I would grade around MS-64. Maybe a shot at 65? I would not do anything with the coin, get it in a 2x2 flip for protection. Beautiful coin! I don't see any abrasions or contact marks just the spotting. Probably a value of around $150 and a lot more if it made MS-65. Just my thoughts. Thanks for sharing! Report this Post to the Staff

BadThad Bedrock of the Community United States 19931 Posts	Posted 07/09/2013 3:38 pm Nice looking original coin. My only concern would be the active verdigris on the obverse at about 4-5 o'clock. Submerge it in distilled water and see if you can gently rub it off with a toothpick, as a final step, rinse with acetone. Lincoln Cent Lover!
