Hey guys , I always look here, now I joined

I collect Australia $1 coins

I've been looking for 2004 masterpieces in silver $1 coins

I've found these coins That I've linked ...
Are they worth it?

I've found originally each coin was approx $195 from RAMINT newsletter..

I can't find much else anywhere. I know they are rare, but is it worth the price... What should I offer ?

Hmm...may be I missing something...
I have minimal knowledge in Australian non-modern coinage, but hunting after good price for 1999 Masterpieces in Silver set, so your post awaken some interest.

Take a look what I found:

Your coins are there, for acceptable price.
Honestly, if not limited budget (after RCM purchases), I would buy it.

Am I wrong here?

I see says the blindman.

But the coins I referred to where in plastic sleeves. Issued by global promotions... Who are they? Does it make it more rare?

Why would his price be so high? What makes it special?

Yes, I see now....
the package makes it more rare.

But IMO, when getting these, that you mentioned, you will never remove it from the card. And by getting the all set, you can enjoy holding individual coin (in the capsule) in hands.
I believe, that the coin is the same one.

BTW:
to CCF !

What a load of old codswallop
this 6 coin set came out with an issue price of $195 and a book value of $210 today, Mintage of 8,250.
These ARE interesting coins especially the supersized MOR coin but certainly not worth a thousand bucks each.
I have this set and I most certainly didn't pay a grand each for them

I contacted the seller and he said he is just open to any offer

Does anybody know the collector value of just a single of these coins .

Being originally sold single. In the sleeve.

I might offer something for them ..

I'm kinda glad they chose the 5kanga design, the lion design size is to much like the 2dollar size, but the shape was pretty cool.

These coins rarely get sold on their own but my stats show 1 sale each this year on ebay Aust as follows:

$1 Imperial Lion..........$ 47.70 inc postage
$1 Wombat.................$ 24.75 inc postage

It would be understatement to $999 is way overpriced

So that is a year, and only one of each sold ? Is that accurate collector value ? How many people own this coin?

That moment when you realise they are talking about my coin.

My name is Alex, I'm from Western Australia.

I put the coin for $999 just to see if I can get some offers, any offers.

I really could not find any other coins like this.
if you look at the pictures of the lion coin you can see the promotional card and sleeve.

I really am just taking offers.

hehehehe, I come on this site every week, for a few minutes.
But never joined, but this is as good time join.
I do sell a lot of coins on ebay. I have a lot more to list.

@trout1105:

Great set, they looks nice together.

I actually know the reason , you told it earlier, but IMO - the sets have better display in their capsules in the box.

I just don't get the attraction in these things. As far as I'm concerned silver bullion is more interesting than "replica" coins which to me is just another word for fake. Perth Mint grossly overprices their silver issues IMO. They flood the market with so many issues.

Those issued by RAM

Australian silver bullion? Koala, Kookaburra, Stock Horse and semi-numismatic Kangaroo series - yes, they nice, I collect koalas, but IMO - nothing special. They may put any theme and start minting ...

And IMO, those "fakes" - still made of silver, organized in sets and give the opportunity to own old designed coins from the past.
