Nice!

If you don't mind me asking, how much would something like that fetch?

This coin came with a unc $20 note.
The portfolio has a book value of $285.
The unc last prefix $20 note has a book value of $135.
I have NEVER seen one of these coins listed on its own.

That's a really nice coin Trout .... the Southern Cross detail appears to be much better than on the general cirulation coin.

Does the coin have the actual year it was minted (1997) on it?

Trout, what is stamped on the right hand side of the $20 note? Is it Sir Charles Kingsford Smith Centenary? If so, surely that would have to make the note much valuable than just a general last prefix?

Yes. All (well, almost all) Australian coins have the year on the obverse. NGC database page for this coin.

@trout1105:

Why don't you keep those beauties in the capsules, boxed?
Just IMO - the collection is impressive, coins really great (I like RAM issues) so they will be display much more better in the box.
Proof silver dollars, I mean.

I keep these on the 2 pages (I will need 3 pages when I finish) so that I can keep track of the ones I DON'T have.
When I finish getting them "up to date" they will all be going back into my 25mm dollar coin collection.

the entire collection will number nearly 400 coins when complete, so putting them all in capsules and in trays is simply out of the question space wise.

They are housed in archive quality 2x2 pages and stored flat so there is no danger of the coins being damaged physically or environmentally and I like the way I can get 20 coins per page to look at
This means I will be able to house the entire collection of 25mm dollar coins in 2 albums.

I do like the capsule and tray displays but I simply don't have the space to put all my coins in this type of display.
