Would you recommend gettin it graded professionally? Like would it increase value when selling?

I think getting a coin graded does increase the value. I don't have any of my coins graded, but getting the exact grade would determine the value. If you want to get them graded then go for it.

The 6d is in beautiful condition. This coin frequently turns up in EF or better as it was withdrawn soon after issue. It's a coin with an interesting history - the British equivalent of the 'Racketeer nickel'. The shield reverse was so similar to contemporary half-sovereigns that people gilded the sixpences and passed them off as half-sovereigns. Later in 1887 a new design was issued with a crowned "SIX PENCE" inside a wreath - very similar in fact to the reverse that had been used from 1831.
There are actually three types of 1887 sixpence:
1. Young Head obverse, crowned "SIX PENCE" in wreath on reverse 2. Jubilee Head obverse, Shield reverse (called the "Withdrawn" type) 3. Jubilee Head obverse, crowned "SIX PENCE" in wreath on reverse (crown differs from type 1)
A half-sovereign was worth 10 shillings, so twenty sixpences, quite a good deal!

Yes that's quite helpful but It dosnt give a value for the different varieties only if it's proof or not I suppose it's up to what some one would be willing to pay for it.

I can't seem to find all the varieties, but I would say your sixpence is somewhere around $60-$75. But I did find it has a low mintage of 3 676 00.

That could be one of the other varieties it's talking about, I know the one with the young head is worth quite a bit more. (not sure exactly how much)

Besides value, is there anything else you want to know. You would probably need to go to a coin shop to find it's value.
