There is a wealth of knowledge in the Numismatic World, and I'm just looking to gain a little. So, past the new Redbooks and Grading Standard books, are there any cool books about varieties/more expert topics? I just started the Coin Collectors Survival Manual by Travers. Thanks in advance!

Depending on what you specifically collect, there are usually one or two "must have" books.

To be honest I'm looking to broaden my knowledge, not just expand my knowledge on my a proof Three Cent Nickel collection. There is one book by David Poole but it is mostly for circulation strikes.

Haven't found David Poole's book what is the title? Still in print? I know of his amazing collections though. Google comes up empty as well so does Amazon.

I'd recommend you start with Q. David Bowers book - US coins as illustrated by the Garrett collection, a great all around read, and will give you many ideas of areas in US coins that might pique your interest.

Any other areas you would like some in-depth book recommendations in US coinage, I'd be glad to help as my numismatic library is more complete than my coins collections are
"Buy the Book Before You Buy the Coin" - Aaron R. Feldman - "And read it" - Me 2013!
