I was wondering if anyone has experience finding anything worthwhile in rolls that a bank or credit union get from servicing companies. Examples.. Secure Trans, Axiom, Loomis, etc...
I'm wondering because I'm sure the rolls all get weighed to determine they're filled correctly, and that probably eliminates the chance you'll find any silver coin.

I'm pretty sure 99.9% of coin roll hunters have to get their coins from boxes from the their local bottler. I have never found customer wrapped rolls and only occasionally get more than $10 in halves or dollar coins from teller trays. There is nothing wrong with searching currier service rolled boxes.

Wow.... that's something worth drooling over. My best half find was 5 customer rolls. They were labeled 'Bens' and 'johns'. All silver. I've hunted through quite a few quarter rolls, and haven't found anything worth keeping, so I was curious.

Hey Jack, I'm sure it depends on who the bank gets the coin from, but if you order them in $500 increments, should they come in a box like that? What's the easiest way to find box quantities? I work for a credit union, and I've never seen any change order be delivered in a box. Thanks!

@Beckals
Every bank in the Milwaukee WI area gets Loomis coins.
If you want them to get you coins you have to order a $500 box however there are 2 banks I have been to who stock a box or 2 and will give you a lesser amount (1 for free and one for a fee)
I go through $9K a week special order box quantity from 3 different brand banks.

Jack---Those rolls and that stack in your pix are what we all dream about seeing when we rip open the top of a bank box of halves some day. Congrats! My half hunting hasn't had any happy finds like yours. I've chewed my way through over 85 bank boxes of halves and I have yet to run into silver #1.

Well, if they are weighing, they had better calibrate more often, as I've had hundreds of rolls that were off count, and boxes are short entire rolls or more sometimes.

Jack, you post those same pictures over and over, but I will never get tired of looking at them. :)
Beckals, I get almost all of my coins from Brinks, and it has definitely been fruitful. So long as it doesn't cost you to buy the boxes, or dump them, why not search all the coins you can get?
