Hi - My Dad passed on his coin collection, which included several Morgan dollars. Two of them are kind of interesting. I was even wondering if they could be fake, given their good condition, although these were collected a long time ago - maybe when fakes weren't quite as prevalent?

The first is an 1884-O that is very bright - too bright. At the very least, it seems like it must have been cleaned at some point?

The second Morgan is a beautifully toned 1886-S - sorry, my close ups are out of focus on the bottom of each image (any wear is symmetric):

I'm looking forward to your evaluations!

Cheers,

Yes,the 84-O appears to have have been polished. As for the 86-S, it looks like it is toning over an old cleaning.(not 100% sure)
As for them being real, I am not an expert, but the mint marks both look very odd, not sure if this is a rpm for this date or not.
