I sold one of these (1762/3) that was an over date I sent to NGC but I don't this auction win from Spain is a great grade, mid range perhaps.

I would agree with that.
Pleasant enough piece, anyway.

Did these circulate, or were they regarded in the same way as the Maundy silver penny, tuppence and fourpence of the same era?

I think it is difficult to tell the Maundy from the circulation issues.

Both of these coins are of approximately the same condition.
Wear on the high points, with some small flat spots.
