When you do the amount of business that asyn does, 119 negatives is a drop in the ocean. asyn is a great place to buy coins if you don't get fooled by his grading. I bet that most of his negative comments are regarding the coin(s) being over graded. The pictures clearly show the coin that you are bidding on, you simply have to look. I buy from asyn, asynpm, and asynpaper. I have never had a problem other than slow shipping. I wouldn't however buy any high end stuff from asyn unless it was slabbed, mostly tokens and hole fillers.

Personally I won't buy from asyn. The pictures are not very good. I also try to avoid sellers who put a grade on a raw coin....just post a clear picture and let the buyer grade the coin. Many negative feedbacks would be prevented by doing this. But I can see how a great deal could be made on a slow day with 99 cent starting bid and free shipping.

I don't know about anyone else, but whenever I read threads like this I always like to get my book out and check my coin, just in case. Yes, definitely a pointed 5.
Then I checked my records. Bought it several years ago, from, guess who?

There are enough nutters to give someone of asyn's volume 100 negs easily.

He grossly over-grades, but I've never seen any crooked behaviour. I once bought what looked a mule in a pic, but was a trick off light in the scan. It was a $750 refund without a lick of trouble.
