Face value $0.01, melt value $0.017, numismatic value $what someone is willing to pay. I guess there were at least two born that minute.

6 bids on it right now - do none of these people even look at the picture?

^^^ I saw that one too middross ^^^. There are lower priced high grade 1947 dot nickels in ICCS holders so I don't think that one will sell (hopefully).

You guys should report it. I have no ebay account. That nickel especially is being advertised as rare. The pictures are deliberately uncropped and out of focus.

For some reason you cannot report an item because of an inaccurate description.....even if it is blatantly obvious.

You can contact the seller directly and point out the problem. Most will then either correct the problem - sometimes it's as simple as the wrong picture - or not. Be very leery of any sellers who ignore an obvious problem when it's (politely) pointed out to them. If they can't be bothered fixing a problem now before a sale then it's going to be like pulling teeth to get a refund out of them after you've bought and paid for the item. Although in these cases if anyone is so... uninformed shall we say? as to buy any of these they probably deserve what they get.

^ I did contact the seller yesterday afternoon and informed them of their mistake (and politely I may add). I even let them know of the likely headache that would come from this if someone bought this item, as they would be very unhappy with it.
I have not heard a response yet, and the item is still listed without any changes. My guess is that the seller is banking on an uninformed buyer.

I also contacted the seller so maybe the pressure will get him. It is clearly a maple leaf nickel in the picture. What gets me is the writing behind the coin....terrible, is this a grocery list? cmon.

1947 nickel is ended. this was the sellers reply to my concern........"I pulled it, I thought it was. I will get it looked at cause I dont see difference in this and the others. My wife did the same comparison as me and she said same as me. Oh well, thanks for help".
What are the odds that asyn will change their listing for the 1985 pt5? Unlike nickel guy here, they know what they are doing.

Or not. It got 13 bids and sold for $20.50. Really, the buyer almost deserves to get stuck with it. No matter what asyn said, it's clearly not a pointed 5. You only have to look at the picture to see that.

Does anyone ever look at feedback for this company? 119 negatives in 6 months, why would anyone buy any thing from them.
