It is definately a token and looks like maybe George III.
Through a loupe I can make it the following:
First Line: end letter is I or T
second line : Get or GII or indeed anything but looks lik Is, Ts or Es
Next line I think is messrs
next line: ?82

I think a clearer pic of the obverse may reveal some legend that may help...
