From the land of the Bluenose.....it's a
tragedy me bouy! Navy Davy had to work so it was off to the Button Hole by meself youz! Sky was as dark as my mood as I dink me artifical knee needs some WD40. Did rain, clear and became clouded several times during the outing. Anyway talked to the workers at the Button Hole as they were rebuilding the retaining wall for the walkway into the lake. I'll talk to anyone not only cause I'm a friendly bouy but leads for new digging spots come from some of the strangest encounters. Reminds me of my favorite old saying that I created when I was a policeman...."Everyone you meet is a
potential source of information."
Return-To-The-Button-Hole:hats-Off-To-Garrett Took the AT Pro out for a spin today as the Freedom 3 Plus takes a hissy fit in wet weather.
Return-To-The-Button-Hole:hats-Off-To-Garrett Wore me gum rubbers today as Navy Davy and I both got soakers crossing the stream to the middle of the lowered lake. Walked the "road" (look closely and you can pick it out on the left side of the photo) and scoffed a few more butttons, a buckle, lead seal of sorts with an "H", a dinkie, musket ball, 3 ringer and best of all rescued some golf eggs which I'll give to my dad for some gud whacking fun.
Return-To-The-Button-Hole:hats-Off-To-Garrett Big surprise of the day was at 0820hrs when the buzzer buzzed and a bouy showed up with a c.o.d. parcel totaling $21.15 which I paid in loonies and twoonies...he was a tad lopsided as he left. Tore open the package and was greeted by a new set of wateproof headphones from Garrett. Talk about swift...just called Monday or Tuesday of this week. Hats off to Garrett customer service.
Return-To-The-Button-Hole:hats-Off-To-Garrett Next photos show 3 sets of the headphones which I have repaired to some degree. Not crapping on Garrett but think that most headphones are predisposed to wire break problems. On land at this stage I would have gone wireless like Navy Davy who loves his and they are good fur a stomping through the bush. But water machines...not sure if there is such a beast as wireless headphones.

Return-To-The-Button-Hole:hats-Off-To-Garrett:

Return-To-The-Button-Hole:hats-Off-To-Garrett: Navy Davy is quite the handyman and has agreed to give a try at properly repairing a set with modifications incorporated to
strengthen the vulnerable points. Oh joy!

Tonight I'm spending my time with
royalty...Crown Royal that is. Gud fur whatever ails a bouy...at least till the
morning after!

Rest in Peace

I wonder what that lead seal used to belong to. Never saw one of those before.
