Wake up Sel, you're missing it! Lovely piece trout, that's a wishlist piece, &
in extrodinary shape. Enjoy.

Sel advised me to get one of these when I met him and I thought "Whatever for Ya silly old bugger".
Having seen one of these I instantly agreed with his recommendation, They are unequally Australian and are a stunning design
every Aussie collector should have at least one of these to round off an Aussie collection
That now makes two silly old buggers recommending getting one of these

Mine is a '66, but this one is a grade better than mine.
Very pleasing example of the genre.

The wreath in Victoria's hair is in fact a different species of vegatation than that found on the Newfoundland $2 gold coins.
It is an Australian native Banksia wreath.
Dunno what the species is, that is found on the Newfoundland coins.

If Leonard Charles Wyon was still with us, he might say, but just for now, he ain't tellin'....

Regardless of the grades , This IS an exceptional coin type and I thank you for pointing me in the right direction
I will have to curtail my spending on my other coin requirements and secure a shield version of this coin next month, The young head Victoria obverse is IMHO by far the best looking bust on an Australian coin
