That's not a terrible price - it's why they're selling so many, so fast.

For a mere $1.30 extra, I prefer the Maple leaf. It may conflict with my home country's history, but dang is it a lot prettier than a plain old BU eagle.

It's a very fair price. I bought 5, that's all ebay would allow me to buy. I paid $54.06 for 2 ASE at a LCS last week.

Link for the Maple Leafs: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-Canadi...em1c32714ce9

I collect both ASE's & CML's with a few Mexican Libertad's.

Here are the Maple Leafs at $26.20 with free shipping: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-Canada...em58a13cd018
Never mind, I see someone already posted a different link that is cheaper.

I'm seeing dealers pay less for Maples when you sell than they are Silver Eagles. I'll stick with the ASE's.

Very true. A lot of places sell maples cheaper too. SilverTowne is one of the odd ones that has the maples priced higher in the US

1916 D. The Maples arrived today. The striking of the leaf is very impressive.

I think I like the finish a lot better than a BU Eagle, however I do not own a BU ASE. I agree a proof eagle may be more attractive than a BU Maple, but why pay double for eye appeal (especially with bullion)
My next bullion purchase is going to be a ATB 5 oz. I think that will be really nice and for only about $25 above spot. (about same premium as buying 5 ASEs or Maples)

Going back to the subject - "Always listen to the experts before you buy. Dang it."

I personally rather listen the opinions of the folks here on CCF rather than the so called experts out there.
