Help! How To Tell If A Large Note Is Trimmed

babysitr Pillar of the Community United States 1339 Posts	Posted 07/21/2013 12:43 pm Can't believe I didn't take a picture, but, I'm looking at buying a 1917 $1 sawbuck...guess about XF condition ....When I look along the bottom margin, the width from the paper edge to the design is not constant along the bottom.....Not very much,but, not exact same thickness....Has it been trimmed along the edge ? or is this common on the 1917....I'm a little suspicious.....Can anyone give me some ideas? He probably wont have it long.....Should have pics, I know,,,And when in doubt.....Usually don't do it!! Report this Post to the Staff
