Hello Everyone, I know that its been a while since I last posted but I wanted an opinion. I have all of the Brown and Blue Eisenhower dollars except for 1973. Would it be worth it for me to buy the 1973 Brown and Blue Ikes? Any opinions and suggestions please let me know. Thank You, Eric

If you already have all the other dates I'd go for it just so you have a full set.

Totally up to you, but it really wouldn't hurt...I personally like those coins, so I say go for it.

I love these coins.... now. I never thought I would collect a set back in the 80s.

I agree since you have all the other dates I would pick up this single date just to have a complete set of them

Brown Ikes are the 40% Silver Proof Eisenhower dollars that are in the orginial government holders. They were made from 1971 through 1974. The Brown Ikes are housed in a slab similar in size to the GSA holders that held the CC Morgan silver dollars. The name brown refers to the brown box that the slabbed coins were kept in. The Blue Ikes are the Uncirculated versions of the 40% Silver Eisenhower dollars. These were housed in Pliofilm with a chip next to it that says Uncirculated Eisenhower dollar. These were housed in Blue envelopes hence the nickname Blue Ike.

Thanks for the insight.
I always need another collection to work on. What prices are we looking at here?
