Like a lot of LSC cent errors, this coin has a clear distortion of "GOD", "TRUST", and "LIBERTY". My question is this: Is it some kind of DD or just die wear. You can actually see the distortion with the naked eye. I have included pics of a normal 2011p, taken with the same microscope, for comparison. All opinions are appreciated, thanks!

"GOD"=machine doubling
"TRUST"=die deterioration
"LIBERTY":Not sure;could be either of the above.Then again it could be something else.

DrDon, I did not think it was Machine Doubling on the word "God" because it is neither flat nor -shelf-like, maybe the pictures don't do it justice. Is this a different kind of Machine Doubling that I should have already learned about? It really looks like the letters "GOD" have distorted to the southeast as opposed to the usual MD. I have so much to learn and I appreciate your help and patience. I truly have the utmost respect for you and your error coin expertise, I am just trying to learn everything I can. Thanks!

When the dies separated it slid up the side of the letters,leaving a slanted side, as opposed to shifting which leaves the standard flat shelf like doubling.I have been known to see things in photos that were not actually there so if you aren't seeing it then perhaps it's just my eyes playing tricks on me.

Ahhh, makes sense to me... Thanks! So now only "LIBERTY" is in question. I guess it'll go into my " Hang-on-to-these-for-now" pile.
