Hey guys.

I have 1909 russian 5 ruble banknotes and I have noticed I have doubles.

Does anyone know the printing process? and how they were made?

i have consecutive singles and also I have notes the are the same number

YA-119 x2 (I.shipov/P.barishev)*
YA-199 x2 (I.shipov/S.bubyakin)*
Y6-512 x2 (I.shipov/V.shagin)*
Y6-442 x2 (I.shipov/Y/metc)*
Y6-499 x2 (I.shipov/V.shagin)*

*(bank-president/cashier)

Does it change Value if they are in the double pairs?
oh, they are also UN-circulated...

Also can someone give me a value?

Any issue that has the YA-123 format was printed during the transition between the Tsarist Govt to the Provisional and then onto the Soviet, so this was a very turbulent time and with such a short serial number, duplicates are to be expected.

Value: probably microscopic (it's not technically junk, but unless it's in really good condition they aren't even worth $5 each).
No idea how they were made. But yeah, with such short serial numbers doubles are to be expected (even though I've never seen any yet).
Oh, and Ark is correct about the dating, so these notes probably never circulated as actual Imperial money.

well $5 each is fine. I only have around 80 of them... they are mostly in UNC condition... I think I did good, now I can list them and see if I can raise some money :) :) I did find if I can get 1909 with all 13 different cashier signatures its worth around $350 for the set... so ill be sorting them out...
