My daughter is collecting the State Quarters and we found this in our pocket change. I'm not an expert so don't know if it is a die crack or not. In my opinion it kind of adds to the quarter as it looks like lightning coming out of the horn!

It is also my first attempt at taking a picture of a coin so if there are any tips on posting or taking, I would greatly appreciate it. I couldn't post the whole quarter as the size of the file was too large.

Hello and welcome to the forum therisker!!

From what I can see from this small pic it
appears to be a die crack. Let's hear what other members have to say.
Risker, does your daughter collect State Quarters? I hope she's having fun doing it if she is.

That is a die crack. as far as you photographic skills go just adjust your lighting a bit not much at all looks like you have a pretty good start for you first. you can also (if you have it) use a photo shop program to add or subtract light if needed. good luck. and good luck also to your YN
Gary too
