Someone bought a box of coins for £3 and they let me have a rummage through it at this weekends car boot sale at Weston Cricket Club in Shavington, Cheshire, UK. Found this Can 5c sitting in there. Gave him £10 for it, maybe not worth much more as quite common date and a lower grade. I hope better than VF20.

I'd say that you did pretty good. That's a nice find and goes to show that it always pays to look for coins in unusual places, or to look at them whenever you have the opportunity to do so.

I found an about uncirculated 1928 Canadian cent in a dish of coins at an antique store for $2.00 so there are good finds to be had out there.

Yes, I have been seeking to diversify my access to coins by handing out flyers as paying buyer premium, banking charges and high shipping the traditional auction houses are all expensive and I buy all over the world. I told my 7 year old daughter to look for old people and give them a flyer and look sweet, which she does!!
