It looks like what ever was done to this coin was done to it a while ago. it has the same color and the same wear as the rest of the coin. Doesn't look like a clip though.

So what do you think of this from a reputable dealer:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2008-Canada...9d724&_uhb=1

Now the coin appears to be real but lets look at the ad. "Only 508 pieces sold by the mint". While the dealer appears to have covered their grounds in terms of advertising the information is deceitful.

While 508 pieces were sold as part of the wedding set it is my understanding that there were similar pieces sold as part of other products for a total of upwards of 8000 pieces. If the dealer was selling the loonie in its set they would still be able to say that the there were only 508 "sets". For someone collecting sets then they can determine the value of the set. However they are selling the coin and there are much more than 508 in existence of the coin being put up for sale.

Unless I am wrong about my information this type of advertising coming from a member of CAND while possibly and semantically correct does very little to develop trust in this whole industry.

IMHO deceit from a person one learns to trust is worse than robbery from a thief.
