I recently acquired these gambling tokens and was wandering does anyone know if these would be genuine, they have been glued to the card, is it advisable to remove from the card or would they lose value. I have googled the dealer in Thailand and he still exists with the exception, his number has changed and the language barrier is a problem. If they seem to be genuine what type of price are we looking at as I don't collect this type of token and would sell them if it was worth the trouble.

To quote from the NI Bulletin for June 1999, "Scott Semans... [says] that a better pictorial type will probably now fetch at least $20 retail in Thailand or the West". None of these pieces, however, appears to qualify. Note that this quotation comes from an article on the problem of counterfeit Thai gambling tokens.

All very common ones. I paid $3-4 each for mine. FYI 100 Baht is about $2 (Original cost of the set)

Call me a sucker, but I'd pay considerably more for a set like that.

I paid only a couple of bucks for these mainly
because I did'nt know what the reverse sides of the tokens look like, for all I know they are blank.

So at those values its worth soaking and hopefully the glue is water soluble.
