You know I am the conspiracy theory enthusiast to say the least, but I gotta say I really think there is much evidence that supports an empty gold vault up in Can-tuck-eee.....

The show Brad Meltzer's Decoded is playing re-runs on history today and the reason it came to mind as the Fort Knox episode is playing....

I found it most interesting piece of evidence on show, came from a simple server as they ate lunch there in Elizabeth-town. She said her mom had worked there years earlier and her job was to guard the vault which contained NO GOLD....

She went on to say it once had gold in it, but now just dust remained....

No matter how secure any country or Government wishes to be, until they create androids that can do our job equally as well as us that can not spill the beans via programming, things like this will always leak out, esp to family members of these people who had such security clearances....

With the countries outside the States demanding their gold back, it would not surprise me that Ft Knox would be a hollow sheel of "what used to be"...until proven otherwise, that is what it will be to me.

Thought the German gold is stored with the New York Fed. Personally if I was trying to do a conspiracy I would have moved in fake gold plated bars into the vault not have a empty vault people could actually see. That way less people need to be involved in the cover up.

Most foreign reserves held in the US are held at the new york fed. I saw some of the vault areas on a tour there once

I stopped watching the History channel due to their non-stop Pawn Stars episodes darn near everyday..

I did enjoy Brad Meltzer's Decoded last year.

Apparently over the years Fort Knox has housed much drugs, they were gonna convert into morphine during World war II as well as the bill of rights at times and the declaration of independence as well as constitution. And the British hid the Magna Carta their from Hitler as well during war they say.....

This 1981 newspaper article says 300 truckloads (7,000 tonnes) of gold were simply driven away.

Personally, given the lack of fair recent auditing, I'd be very surprised if there were anything but dust balls there.

Probably.. looks like the same logo.

Would be curious to see the reports of full independent audits. My money is on the good stuff being long gone.
