My father recently gave me this large gold medal and I can not identify it. My grandfather brought it back to the states after WWII. It measures 60 mm. Still in it's original case. I do not know the weight. Any help would be appreciated!

From the inscription, it appears to be a medal struck for a General Trade Fair held in May & June of 1929.
One might think that this was held in Eger, Hungary, but the rest of the medal is in German, in which language the city is called "Erlau".
