Well...I'm just about 2 and a half boxes through my last 3 boxes of cents. So far...pretty slim pickings. Best finds have been 2 x 2006 No P No Logo Magnetic. I managed to find one in each of the last 2 boxes. I'm hoping to make it 3 for 3. Best find so far from my third box is a 1896 Indian Head cent (US). It is only my 3rd Indian Head cent I have found searching Canadian rolls. Well...I will report if I find anything else. I have 35 rolls to go. Have a great weekend

I've been searching boxes forever and never found an IHC. I find Canadian all the time though. I credit CRHing for getting me about half of my Canadian cent collection. These last 5 though, I doubt I will find in rolls.

Quote: These last 5 though, I doubt I will find in rolls. Which 5 do you think you will not find in rolls? I thought the same thing for a while about the 1999 WAM and I finally found one about 2 months ago. I love finding hard to acquire US varieties here in Canada. Mike...I'm jealous that you are sitting on so many boxes of cents. I'm sitting here looking at my last 16 rolls with a tear in my eye. LOL! A buddy who also roll hunts here in the Soo sold me 2 of his boxes on Monday. Hey Mike...Did you get any of the flooding out your way. Alot of the west end and downtown area were underwater last night with that storm. Even some of the areas on the hill. There were picks of a van that got stuck going through the underpass and the water was to deep. It ended up getting up to its windshield by the time the rain subsided a bit. I'll tell you...people forget they are in a car and not a boat. lol. N one was hurt at least.

I need a 1923, 1955 NSF, 1965 small and large bead pointed 5 and a 1985 pointed 5 to finish off the set. I usually find 1-3 Canadian cents in a box at most when I search, so I think I will have to get those the new old fashioned way...eBay.

I have yet to find any from 22 - 26 yet in circulation. Maybe just unlucky. I managed to find the 1955 NSF earlier this year. I have 6-7 85 pointed 5's and a bakers dozen of the 2006 No P Np Maple leaf Magnetic. Well...it is very hard to get any cents from circulation here now. I get lucky once in a while and a teller will sell me a box. My best bet will most likely be crossing the river to the US and grabbing a few boxes there. Should be quite a bit of Canadian mixed in the border town.

No, didn't get the early years from circulation. That would be the half of the set I had to buy. :) I recently mentioned in the CRH thread about how I kind of think the Canadian cent will live on in the US by circulating as a US cent. I find at least one every time I search a box.

Well...that will be determined soon enough I think. I do not think the US cent will be to far behind with the Fed deciding to terminate the US cent as well. It will truly be a sad day when and if that ever happens. As long as the US cent continues to circulate...there will always be a Canadian cent or two floating around. :)
I live in a border town and I usually get 3 - 9 US cents per roll. I rarely open a roll without any US cents in it.
